Collection: About Robert McBride

Born in 1953, Rob grew up in Orange County, California when there were still fields of knee-high mustard, as well as citrus and avocado orchards surrounding tracts of homes.  Exploring the open fields, rolling hills and nearby creeks and streams that encircled his hometown of La Habra, Rob began his lifelong love and passion for nature.

In 2005, he began painting in oils, focusing on landscapes and seascapes of the surrounding area where he lived in Costa Mesa, CA.

Rob and his wife Carolyn retired in 2016 to the Central Sierras near Yosemite and Bass Lake, an area they love and has spent many summers on vacation.
